BOOK REVIEW: The Sun and Her Flowers by Rupi Kaur
WHERE. TO. START?
I loved this book.
First, it's poetry, which is my favorite writing medium; second, it was written so well that I had to read, then reread each poem so that I could fully soak in every single word on the page.
As with her previous poetry anthology, Milk and Honey, Rupi Kaur interweaves strong word choices with drawings, which prove to create a powerful message to women: You are your own strength. You are your own person. You are you. Love yourself.
I'm not going to do a regular review for this book...it's just that good. READ IT!
RATED: 5 STARS
Plus, I'm tired, and I got my new glasses today, so things are a little wonky on my eye end...but I can see!! For the first time in years, there are no halos, no smudges, no streaks of light! This prescription is on point, and I'm so thankful to my medical eye team who worked tirelessly to help me in the past year. May we all have a great recovery and partnership for years to come!
NOTE: I bought and paid for the book on my own, and did not receive any compensation for this review.
